Denise is a woman who is passionate about leaders living in the fullness of the calling by taking care of their own souls first. The Connected Heart goal is to come along side leaders and aid them in “guarding their hearts” as an ongoing way of life.
Denise has been active in ministry as a teacher, speaker, mentor and leader for more than 25 years. She is a graduate of the University of North Texas and has done additional course work at Texas A&M Commerce. She received her ministry and coaching training through The Transforming Center, Leadership Network, the CaPP Institute (Coaching and Positive Psychology Institute) and Perkins School of Theology. Denise is a licensed Minister of the Gospel and Certified Spiritual Director.
She is the author of Seven Simple Ways, Experiencing God through Spiritual Rhythms. Her latest writing, Seven Simple Retreats, Savoring God’s Presence will be released in 2016.
Mission: We empower and encourage Christian leaders to connect to their desires and dreams through soul care practices so that they flourish in all aspects of their lives.
Life Coaching: 50 minute session of goal setting and strategy development that aid in attaining those goals.
Spiritual Direction: 50 minute session of listening to and discerning the voice and will of God in one’s life. Spiritual Direction helps one to discover how they personally connect to God.
Retreats: Times of pulling away from the hustle and bustle of life in order to refresh. The Connected Heart offers the following retreats:
Prayer and Art: Searching for God in art and responding to what one finds.

Denise is also available for speaking at retreats on Living Life in Rhythm, Guarding My Heart, Leading from the Strength of My Soul as well as well as other topics. She can also help to customize retreats to meet the needs of the group.
Leadership Trainings: focus on aiding leaders in establishing, living and serving in rhythms that are physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally healthy.
